I gave the orchids afterwards, I spoke with Alan about some Acro frags and he was a bit concerned about my lighting, then I mentioned a 400 watt Metal Halide over my 27 gallon ... he said 400???? I said yes well it is for my orchids.. he says "my wife and I have been wanting to try keeping orchids" so I took him in a couple books and a couple orchids... If I had felt they were hostile I sure wouldn't have gone back.
