I am also in the market for a new skimmer for my new sump. I currently have a Sea Clone, which apparently is a pos. I really wish I would have done more homework when I got into this, but that's ancient history.
My sump will be approx. 55 gallons, measuring 36" x 18" x 20", and the display is 46 gallons. The Octopus looks like it would work, but what else in that price range would do the trick?
