It depends on where you read I think.
some sites say that it is used to generate a thicker slime coat. others say that it is used to kill the parasite. either way it doesn't have a 100 percent kill rate. the only way that I am aware of to definitely kill it off out of your tank is hyposalinity and or no hosts for at least 4 weeks. Neal
