Default Lighting configuration questions (moon lights/dusk dawn)

Hey,

I have 2 coralvue retro kits. Each has 2 bulbs so that makes it 4 39 W bulbs over the 33 gallon. I want to do the dusk/dawn effect but can't reconfigure the bulbs and ballasts. I wanted to rewire the retros so that 1st and 3rd bulb run off th one ballast and 2nd and 4th run off the other. Problem is everything is enclosed inside the 1 piece metal housing so it would be way too complicated to get it all out and rewire without screwing something up.

Currently I have (front to back)

Actinic Plus
Aquablue Plus
Pure Actinic 03
Aquablue Plus

With that in mind, here are some options that I have, so wanted to check if any of these would work or if someone would have any other ideas.

1) place actinic + and pure actinic as 1-2 (I believe that they are the bluest of the 4) and run them for my dusk/dawn effect and then place the aquablue plus bulbs as 3-4. If I do this, would the problem be that brighter lights will be lighting the back of the tank while bluer will be lighting the front? (or vice versa)

2) Could I just get few moonlights and use those as my dusk/dawn effect, and leave my lights as they are. If I do this, would I get the same effect as dusk/dawn or will I have a lot of moonlights that don't do much and keep my fish up?

3) other ideas I can't think of.

Thanks for the help.
