Very very sad news for me

Thank you so much everyone for your support, caring and kind words. After spending all day today thinking about it more and screwing up my resolve I decided to take your advise and go into the police station to report this with enough composure that I was sure I wouldn't just dissolve into a bawling mess. So I get to the station at 5pm and they are closed except for emergencies - which of course it is to me but I didn't think it would qualify. So I will be going in first thing tomorrow morning.
