I think that many reef keepers continually keep their eye open for that one coral that is truly unique and rare. Something that noone else (or hardly anyone else) has. I think it is partially the bragging rights but also a sense of satisfaction that you have acquired a coral that everyone seems to want. Gotta be the first on their block...

Then again some people may just have more money than brains and just really like the colour of it...
