you can do what is advised above and it is best (with heat shrink that has a glue in it for water tight seal)
but most do not have the tools for this. I have a supplier that provides me with wire conectors that have solder built in and heat shrink, it all can be done with a hair dryer. If you would like more info just pm ne Robert
