Never mind...I totally forgot you are getting a few buckets of salt and aragonite as well. Then for sure the savings from not shipping would be a bundle?

I just mentioned the gas chip in, as a hint, hint, everyone should chip in regardless and not take advantage of someone’s kind heart. Or maybe that’s just me. But it is something to consider since gas does cost money and is a long trip for you, although I know you do want to take the trip. Sorry don’t want to damper on anyone plans. Consideration comes first.

Looking like pickup from J&L the morning of the 29th or 30th, dropoff in calgary that night, then unloading in edmonton the following day

nobody seems to have a preference for a friday or saturday pickup in calgary, or a sat or sunday pickup in edmonton

so...if anybody does let me know otherwise we'll just be deciding a few days before

most likely ill be back in edmonton by noon or 1pm. Once we arrive ill be unloading my portion and catching up on tank maintenance i passed off while we were gone

so, anytime from 1pm that afternoon til midnight would be fine for me. well, most nights im up til 4am so pretty much anytime

If anybody has a J&L box leftover from a previous rock order...could i please get outer dimensions of length/width/height, an exact measurment would be great

Do you just want J&L boxes, or would some rubbermaids do the trick as well? If you want some rubbermaids let me know and I can bring some over to your place.

after a little discussion with the guys at J&L, they said just to worry about keeping it moist (which is why they throw in the moist towels on top). can always throw in a little extra water in the boxes if somebody wants

im going to make up an insulated casing for say...8 or 9 of their rock boxes. throw it in the bed then throw the boxes in the casing. J&L can put heat packs in with the rock, and then we can use either a 12v car warmer or a bunch of my heat packs surrounding the rock boxes. air the casing out every stop or two to keep the oxygen levels up for the packs. should keep everything warm

needed the dimensions on the rock boxes J&L ships with so i know how big to make the inner dimensions of the casing. wont be anything fancy, just ply outside and insulation inside

Just be using their standard shipping boxes for this, so wont be needing the rubbermaids for this trip

also if i got somebodies location wrong, ie your in edmonton and i got you on the calgary list, just point in our in your respective forum so i can fix up my list.
