 Its not exactly true there are definitely crabs that are not safe for your reef and certainly even some FOWLR tanks as well. Crabs with hair on their bodies or feathery appendages are to be considered NOT reef safe and should be removed. Typically most but not all crabs with smooth shells are considered reef safe but there are rules to the exceptions. Best bet is to remove from your system if your not sure
