![]() My current skimmer needs to be replaced. Trying to figure out what would be best for the price range I have in mind. $300-$400.
Setup: 80g display mixed reef. 30g sump. Skimmer section is roughly 10" x 10" around 10" deep. Light - Medium stocked. Fish list: Scopas tang Coral beauty Six line wrasse 2 domino damsels 2 clowns. Options I had in mind. Rlss 6. $350 But Denny was telling me supplier is unreliable for shipping. Reef octopus diablo xs160. $350 Vertex omega 150 $390 Did have lined up a used skimz sm201. Which I thought would be great but the deal fell thru. I'm open to used, just need to find the deals.

![]() Well if you are wanting something look at the SWC 160 excellent skimmer.
And How can you argue with the Skimmer King....

![]() I have the RLSS 8. I have so far found it to be an excellent skimmer - I really like the DC 6 speed pump with the 10 min feed mode. If you are able to wait for it to arrive, I think you would be happy with it.

![]() I recenlt purchased an Eshopps Snow Cone S-200 for my 60 Gal SPS cube and I'm really impressed. It is a little overkill for this tank but I am running biopellets so I wanted to be sure it would do the job. The Sicce pump runs well and in the two months I have been running it, it has yet to overflow. This thing is very compact and would fit your space no problem.
Also +1 for the SWC 160. |

![]() There are a lot of options in this price range thankfully. I feel like I need one soon though.
My current skimmer is basically not skimming anything. But nitrates are still undetectable using API test kit. So hopefully get a skimmer this week. Hence why availability is a big factor right now.
