Default FO or Reef tank?

Just picked up a 114gal tank,36x24x30.5 today from Keith in Drayton valley(went to see his newest tank, totally worth the 1.5 hr drive )
I need some suggestions on wether or not to make it into a reef or go fish only, and some ideas for livestock. What would you do with a tank of these dimensions????

Was thinking the spare 250w 10k mh with actinic,but since its 30in high,maybe 400w ?
I would love to set up a small reef(tall column, with swimming space all around)with a few small corals and fish from the same area(indo-pacific,etc)but try to keep to smaller species.

He ythere jim i would make your new tank, a REEF tank and have a\hardy anything in there a few wrasses and and star fishes 3 of them a couple blue ones and 1 red one along with some conches and a few shrimp
this would be asome mimi pure reef .hardy any fish either
and for lighting i would run a 1x250 12K-14K bulb on there along with a hagen glow -matt with 24 " actinic bulbs for 2

that is what i would do ..\
\
get the bug for a small reef now

Doesn't matter how much you have been reading until you take the plunge.
You don't know as much as you think.
