			 Just wondering...

I want to put 5 chromis in my tank. I want to add them as they will move around a lot... and school. I hear people say they stop schooling and why bother. . If you CURRENTLY have chromis, are they still schooling? Thanks

I would not. I would probably moan and complain, read three words and swear once or twice. But since you made it this far, please rate my builds. |

Do you have an active tank? Some people say a more docile tank gives the fish no reason to school. So I hear.

I wouldn't say my tank is docile but any aggression is never directed toward them. Tank mates are : powder blue tang, one spot fox face, copperband butterfly, cleaner wrasse, 2 clownfish, and 3chromis

I had half a dozen of them when my 90 was set up. 2 or 3 of them would hang around each other from time to time but that was about it. My tank was pretty docile, nobody chased after anyone. I had a foxface, yellow tang, 2 clowns, royal gramma and a solaris wrasse in the tank.

I have had up to 13 chromis that always schooled. They moved in unison like it was an Olympic event. Now the remaining 9 (little suckers jump!) don't school in the same way. Sort of a loose unorganized formation if at all. The change happened right after I gave away my large monodactylis argentus. My guess is that they don't feel as threatened.

Started with 10, after 2 months they killed off each other. Now there is just one.

As they got bigger, they started to get agressive.
