zanclea hydroid perhaps

After much head-scratching I'm pretty sure one of my newer acro's has Zanclea hydroids living on it.

Does anyone else have any experiences with these? The link leads to an article where the writer is leaning towards pest.
But I have had many odd creatures come and go with the times. I was just thinking of letting things take their route and watching the life cycle progress through my magnifying glass...
