![]() I have set up the plumbing in the overflow the way it was set up before.......could someone please explain to me the concept? I get the returns and the main overflow to the sump with a ball valve attached but why 2 emergency overflow pipes, both the same height. There are 5 holes drilled into the overflow 2 smaller and 3 large is there a better way to do this? anybody want to come over and do it for me |

Wouldn't it be better if the emergency pipes were different heights though? The final pipe being kind of a last ditch effort to save the floor? |

Yes, you can cut one of them a bit shorter if you wanted to. However, the height difference between the reg. & emergency standpipes isn't that much so I would personally leave it. Should work fine with no mod.

as long as your at the "I can still change something" phase, you may wanna consider swapping the ball valve for a gate valve.....you will save handfuls of hair with one
