I use the purple Aquascape and have never had a problem, I use rubber gloves when kneading it. I've tried the green stuff but didn't it stuck as well and it works up white.

I've never used the D-D crap, but thanks for the heads up.
I've always used the Holdfast stuff, and have recently used the TLF putty. The White-ness of the Holdfast putty looked a little undesirable in open areas, while the Grey TLF putty blends in a little better. I've always found the Steve-T technique to glue corals/frags down. It's the Glue-Putty-Glue technique that works AWESOME! Just make sure the piece is exactly where you want to place it, cuz it's a bit more work to remove, it works a little too well sometimes. Haha!

been using the d &d stuff for 3 years now, ( purple). Never had a problem. Holds good as long as you knead it a lot. Beauty of it is that it looks like coraline after time.

This is an old thread, but as others are posting so will I.
D&D epoxy rocks for me!!! very easy to mix the 2 parts together, and when dried, very strong and rock solid! As with all 2 part epoxies, it can play havoc with your water and thus make your skimmers go overboard. Just the way it is, I have used many brands, all with the same result of foaming over for a bit. But it does go away. I would recommend D&D 2 part epoxy, and would not hesitate to do so.

I think I once used D-D in the 4 years since starting this thread and it was OK. I was in a bind, needed something, and it was the only thing I could buy. Didn't have the skimmer issues with it that time so I think I just had a bad batch originally. These things happen.
I still don't like it as much as I do some of the other brands though. The texture is just not my favourite to work with. Nowadays I just use the pink sticks from TLF brand. Inexpensive, easy to work with, decent setting time, blends into the coraline of rocks not too bad, and easy to remove from the rock if I don't need it anymore. Works for me.
