Default cant remember which is ground wire, help.

well After taking my old canopy apart and reinstalling the mh light in the knew canopy,I foregot which is the ground wire
The power cord comming from the socket that plugs into the wall has 3 wires, green, black and white. The back of the mh socket has 2 posts, silver and a gold colored(which i think is the positive,if memory serves correctly).which of the 3 colored wires is the ground?

green is your ground wire, black goes to the gold screw, white goes to the silver screw...

I hear ya
was having one of those momants when couldn't remember anything about wiring.
The new canopy didn't turn out too bad, running a 250 mh at each end and actinic in the middle(just have to pick-up another ballast for the other mh),now if I can get my sump done,it might start looking like a nice set-up
