Default moving my redsea max

so the time as come with spring here the wife wants me to paint..... of course the wall where the tank is!!!! so i have to move my red sea max.... good thing this is time i can re-level the tank as it has moved slowly over the years.

any one have any advise for moving a tank it is only 34gal but still. plus does painting your house risk losing your fish/corals

I recently moved my rsm (34g) i pretty much emptied it to move it. The tank is heavy even empty and the stand is a tank as well. Now that being said I moved it by myself up two flights of stairs so if you want to just get it off the wall to paint it might be possible to do so 1/2 empty, the false back holds a lot of water as well so before you move it siphon some of that water out or it could splash out the back.

*mine went out of level over an inch in 3 years as well! crazy stuff
