I will post it here for all to read, it's nothing great and can't really figure out how it got me the prize.

Hi Eli,

Well as you know I am in the works to upgrade to an 8' - 300gal system. This is going to be a complete DIY build including the tank, putting it together myself. I am trying to keep the upgrade cost as low as possible.

I am in real need of a doser because it is very hard for me to do weekly or even bi-weekly water changes on my big system being that we are on a septic system. I am unable to just pour the bad water down the drain. Having a doser will allow me to maintain my levels much easier. ATM I have the biggest running system up here in Central Alberta & get called upon often to help out new SW addicts, lol & being able to explain to new people how dosers work proper, how to maintain additive levels properly & learn more about dosing your bulk chems would help me understand my tank even more.

I would like to show people that you don't need to buy equipment that costs a small fortune in order to have a really nice set-up, not saying that this brand of doser is not as good as say a Profilux. Some time people get sucked in by SOME LFS to the high end, expencive equipment & there are other brands of equipment that don't cost large $$$ that work just as good if not better.

I hope I am the lucky winner of this fine piece of equipment to add to my system.

Thanks Greg

And when he was thinking of the product review assay thing I sent this:

Marco rock

I really enjoy working with Marco Rock, *every rock has a different shape that can be easily shaped & carved into very interesting designs. Another great feature of Marco Rock is that you can very easily place frag plugs right into the numerous holes naturally formed in the rock by mother nature. With it very porous nature Marco rock will seed very easily & quickly if added to an existing mature system.

ROX 1.3

I really like this size of ROX!! I use 2 cup of this carbon in my 165 gal aquarium, before I place it into my reactor I use a very small fish net to rinse it. It rinses out very quickly with very little effort in a matter of less then a minute per cup. Once in my reactor it take very little flow to get it to tumble very lightly and within a matter of a day or two there is a considerable difference in water clarity. A must have for any aquarium be it saltwater or fresh.

Calcium Chloride

Very high quality product! I have been using this product for just a few month but will never use anything else. Dissolves quickly & completely in fresh water as well as saltwater without leaving any residue. Raise's calcium levels with a smaller amount of product then any of the large store bought that I have tried in the past.

Magnesium Sulfate & Magnesium Chloride

To be able to buy these 2 additives separately is a big plus. Both are high grade quality products, dissolve quickly & cleanly in both fresh & salt water. Both products are very easy to measure out to required amount & do not need to be mixed together dry before adding to water. A much more economical option to maintain your magnesium levels in your saltwater aquariums.

Customer Service

What goes better with all these great product is the incredible CUSTOMER SERVICE that is second to no one. Demos of the products are great to see as well, it gives you the real feel that Eli / CACO3REEF really research & understand everything they offer for us to purchase to sustain a good quality environment in our reef aquariums. Thank you Eli for all your hard work & efforts, keep up the great work!!

Congrats to grizz, I think he deserved to win just for keeping the thread alive for the duration of the contest. I had fun following along and will be putting my discount to good use.

Cheers everyone
