Thumbs up The Curve is coming for 2012

We recently ran a poll in regards to what you would like from a bubble magus new Hero skimmer

http://www.canreef.com/vbulletin/sho...ewpost&t=80906

It is clear peole want the option to choose a high end pump! so why not make a universal skimmer that you can start with the OEM pump and move on up if you wish later on, or even choose at time of purchase if you want the higher end pump. Cool choice HUH?

WELL YOU ASKED AND WE DELIVERED!

INTRODUCING FOR 2012 THE BUBBLE MAGUS CURVE RANGE!

The Curve 7 and 180

The first thing you will notice is that we have had these designed to be equipped with both the new BM pump (details further down in this post) and the aqua bee pumps. You decide what you want or you can upgrade.

The other important factor was the higher build quality opted for and extruded body giving a much better "curve" in the cones shape. The foot print also has been significantly reduced to make this as sleak as possible.

The curve 7 is factory fitted with the new BM pump where as the 180 will be th option unit with aquabee pump.

Here are the specs with aqua bee pump (curve 7 specs to follow in new year)

Needlewheel protein skimmer
CURVE180
Capability : 700L-900L(185G -240G)
pump:Auqbee 2000/I
Pump power: 19W, 220V 50Hz /110V 60Hz
Dimensions: 235*200*530mm(9.25" * 7.87" * 20.8")
Water Level :9.5"-11"

The new BM pump

No major details as yet as not due for release until February in 110v but from what I have seen its going to be impressive and as an in house built pump BM have control over the quality and design, matching the performance exactly to the skimmer

Pricing.

There will evntually be 3 models in the curve range, for now we have pricing for the curve 7 (180)

Curve 7 (with BM pump) = $249.00

Curve 180 (with aqua bee pump) = $449

Of course if you opt for the BM pump powered Curve 7 you can upgrade later if you wish to the aqua bee.

More details to come in the New Year.

Little update for you all.

The Curve will be supplied as standard with the New Bubble Magus SP pumps, we have been informed that the upgrade to Aqua Bee to keep costs down can be sourced by the client from any aqua bee dealer and we will supply the needle wheel kits for that pump.

Firm prices and model line up to follow.

First shipping is expected end of February for retail sales to start late March.

We will then focus on two lines from BM

NAC - the affordable excellent performing skimmer range from BM we have all love

Curve - the higher more funcationing skimmer from BM that offers upgrade options.
