![]() So I was just sitting here and was thinking I just transfered my new tank and Hmmmm this is the time to see if I can get the red turf to stay away. So what causes the malious red stuff, is it old bulbs, the low levels of Magnesuim, not enough of this or of that. What tank here on canreef have the red turf that makes your rocks red. can you please tell us what you add to your tank

![]() Mike, I occasionally get patches of red turf but it seems to be kept in check by the foxface, a giant longspined urchin and 2 abalones

![]() Mexican or pacific turbo snails eat it. It's the only thing that eat it in my tank. yellow and bleu tang does not toutch it.
