Default Free Peppermint Shrimp

I have three peppermint shrimp to give away. They started nipping at my new torch coral, so I'm in the process of trapping them. Captured two already, so I should have the third by tomorrow. It only took them about two weeks to completely cure my serious aiptasia outbreak, so I figure they could help someone else now. I live in Canmore, but I go into Calgary all the time. I'll be in Calgary all day on Sat.(Nov.27) We could meet somewhere for the hand-off. PM if interested. All shrimp are now spoken for. Thanks

Nipping at corals eh? Are you sure they are actually peppermints and not camel backs? They look kind of similar and peppermints nipping at coral is rather uncharacteristic, at least in my experience but I suppose anything is possible.
Best of luck.

I'm positive they're peps. They don't have the hump or the large blue eyes. Since they've decimated all the aiptasia, I've been trying to keep them well fed, so they don't go after my soft coral. I introduced a new torch coral today, and one of them was on it in about ten seconds, munching away. The general consensus does seem to be that they are reef safe, so I think I probably don't provide enough food, or I just have a rogue shrimp.

confirmed for sure, put him in the tank and hes gone...lights are out and hes still being very shy. Camel backs dont like to hide as much.

Ok I was just checking but yeah livestock can be really "hit & miss" with their behavior in captivity.
