Default Fishneedit Light Fixture

Dose anyone have this fixture? If you do, please give me your opinion. I might get two 4 bulb fixtures and run for my 48" tank.

Thanks

I'm running a 4foot 4 bulb fixture on my 75 gallon in the states...I changed out one of the bulbs becuase it broke during transit, and when I get back there will change out the remaining 3....but, it's a great fixture and the bulbs provided will suffice, they just aren't the greatest. Currently in the tank down in Jersey I've got chalices, frogspawn, hammerhead, zoas and a true Undata...the Undata is in the top 1/3rd of the tank, but doing great....same with everything else. For the price it's a great fixture and by changing the bulbs out it'll be even better.

Also, if in the long run I decide I want more lights, I'll probably just pick up a 4 foot 2 bulb fixture from them as well...the 2 units cost less than any other 6 bulb unit I"ve seen and will fit easily over my 75 gallon (18 inches front to back)

can't remember if its individual, or one large one bent individually around each bulb...if that makes any sense...but I know there is a reflector around each bulb.

Thanks for your infor. I have SPS, LPS and softy in my 90g tank, so 4foot double 4bulb fixtures works like a some brand 8bulb fixture? I dont mind how the design is, I do mind what is can do. All I want is hydro usage down, heat issues and colour of coral.

Yes, it's one large reflector bent. I have the 250w halide and three of the T5 fixture's. I have no complaints except I could do without the external ballasts. This is a pic I took a while ago of my 2 bulb fixture

change out the stock bulbs and I don't think you'll have a promlem growing SPS...I've got an undata doing great under just 4 bulbs, but it is near the tope 1/3rd of the tank and I changed out one bulb for now, will be changing out the other three when I get back down there.

Don't waste your money on this fixture. TEK's are cheap now that the elites are out. You can get a 6 bulbs for $340 now and your going to have to change out the bulbs on the "fishneedit" fixture. Spending that extra bit will be well worth it.

imo for a 90gal a 4 bulbs is garbage
