![]() I am running a 400watt halide bulb on a 75 gallon reef tank. Thinkin this maybe too much light for softies any thoughts.

![]() Yes, that is a lot of light. However, I suppose it all depends on how high you hang the light over the tank and how deep you place certain coral.

![]() I ran 2 x 400 on my 75, but with SPS. They loved it, but no softies. I suppose they would acclimate to that light though...

![]() Ive got 2 400W 13,000K on a 24" deep 90Gal mixed. I thought it was causing some brain corals some stress but soon found a couple of crabs to be the culprit. Any softies I have dont seem to mind the light.
