![]() I am setting up a moon light and have bought a solid blue and a clear blue 40W light bulb, which one should I use? Does it matter? Rachel

![]() Its the blue one that simulates the moonlight. Its not as harsh as a clear bulb which I think would pretty much be the same as having some of your regular lights on (although not quite as intense ;) ) I've seen it on a couple of tanks. Looks pretty cool.

![]() I use a clear blue one in conjuction with a dimmer. IMO it looks more natural and with the dimmer you can vary the brightness from night to night if so desired. HTH

do your fish have shelter? The reason I ask is that some people claim that the moonlight stresses their fish.At night all my fish retreat to shelters protecting from currents,don't seem to be bothered by moonlight. |
