Default Would lionfish eat Linka Star?

I had about a 4" Orange Links star in my tank, and newly aquired Lionfish. Reena found the Lionfish dead yesterday, and today I find pieces of the Linka in the sump. Did Lion munch on linka? I've had the linka for quite a while and he couldn't have goten into any pump. He did like to hang out in the overflow though.

I kept a blue linka with a volitan for a few months before it (the linka) seemingly starved to death and fell apart. How long did you have yours? The lion never showed any interest in it so I doubt that was the cause. My volitan also died after about 5 years when it suddenly went on a hunger strike and didn't eat anything for a month. The only foods it ever really ate were silversides and krill, it would usually spit things like clam and squid out. For a volitan it was a pretty picky eater. Did yours ever take frozen or live food?
