Weird that all the worms would stay on the underside though, even now. Is this the best point of entry?? Wouldn't they eat the whole thing?

Remember, most of the shrimp is covered by the carapace (or shell if you will), The worms would have no access, but the abdomen is usually soft, and not fully protected. Hence the worms used the most available point of entry.

Shrimp are extremely sensitive to rapid fluctuations. Unfortunately if you move one from one tank to another without a slow acclimation, it knocks them right out. Once there is cell damage the scavengers know it's time to move in.

Never, never, never skip the slow drip acclimation for shrimps even to move across the room (unless the tanks are on the same sump system maybe). I had to learn this the hard way too.

I have had the same problem before i put in a shrimp after allowing him to get used to the water, and the worms were al over it ,i died actually so that might be the problem..
