![]() With this controller will you still have to purchase the ecosmart module, and will this control more than one pump? And what would be the benefit to buy this if you have to get the ecosmart module?

![]() Can you even buy the pump without the Eco Smart driver?

![]() This module does not connect directly to, or replace any of your vortech pump parts or controllers. what the module does is connect to them through wireless, just like your current pumps connect to each other now using master-slave modes. so all you would have to do is connect to the new module to your apex system, and then sync it up with your pumps and magically it will all work!

I must be missing something, so buying this is basically like buying another ecosmart module that would control the other two. Is that correct?

![]() I'm confused as well. From what I can tell it just controls the controllers? I have 3 MP40W's and don't really see the benefit of this. It might make programming them a little simpler but once they are set what is the benefit of this module?

![]() I'm interested too. Just ordered the new ES drivers to upgrade my two MP40W's and fail to understand why I would need additional control? I've been doing fine with the original wireless controllers and am ordering the new ones for the additional modes & new features. What's a controller controller going to do for me? The only thing I've been able to find is that you can control a 'feed' mode. I don't need a feed mode, my livestock chase their food.

![]() It seems that some people are getting unhappy that there is no answers yet for the purpose of this module; however, I have been doing some reading on this module from Reef Central as well as a few other sites and from what I gather this module will allow people with multiple pumps to control all of them from your controller with one button.
It looks like this tool will allow you to program the pumps to switch modes randomly or as a specific plan, you would also be able to have the pumps go into night mode, feed mode, at specific times or upon command. I can see this module being useful for systems running say three or more pumps. This tool just adds even more control to an already well controlled pump. Hope this helps! We don't always have all of the answers..... |
