Default Electrical Problem

Hey,
I have a 6 bulb Tek light. It has separate switches for the inner 4 bulbs and the outer 2. Im have the main 4 bulbs on a timer to go on at 11 and off at 730, but i turn the outer bulbs on myself in the morning and off at night. I moved some of the wires around the other day, and now the switch for the outer bulbs doesnt work anymore. BUT... if i flip the switch to on, the bulbs will illuminate but only when the timer kicks in.. AND... once the timer shuts off the main 4 bulbs.. the outer bulbs stay on?... am i missing something on this fixture? any ideas on what the problem is?

Did you acctually change anything on the fixture itself, or just move the plugs around? Try plugging the fixture directly into a wall outlet. 1 cord at a time, seeing if the respected bulbs will light up or not.

All i did was move some plugs around. didnt touch the fixture at all. going to try a different power bar or something tonight. wondering if its possible something is wrong with the fixture itself though...

I would try a different power bar. Pretty hard for something 2 be wrong with the fixture as they are 2 completely separate wired light systems in it.

I've seen a few similar cases with those fixtures. I don't think you problem is related to your power par, probably just a coincidence. Could be a bad connection or possible a bad ground but it seems obvious to me it's in the fixture.

He moves some plugs around on the Power bar and it's obvious it's in the fixture?

It very well could be, but I fail to see how it is Obvious.

take all the bulbs out and put them all back in. I have had bulb placement/seating problems with T5s before. Good luck.

Also, rotate the order of the bulbs. Could be a bad bulb?

K.
