Default RO/DI Problems

Does anybody have any experience with the Aqua FX 4 stage Barracuda system? I'm getting a pile of waste and only a trickle of pure water. My guage tells me I have 76psi on the system which is more than enough. Does supply temp have an effect on how much you can produce? I have mine plumbed into my cold water line. Do I need to warm the supply up to make more? It's a 100gpd model and at this rate it'll take all of 24hrs to fill my tank if not more.

Sounds normal. The ratio of waste water to good water is around 4:1 I think. Temp does affect how much water you can make but you need to have it hooked up to your cold water line. If you want to try produce more you can coil up a bunch of tubing and have it in a bucket of warm water with a heater. This will warm up the water a bit before it gets to your RO/DI.

I think I could p*** faster than it's coming out of there. I guess then the initial fill of your system is a long slow proceedure?

My unit took about a week to fill my system (~350 gal)

I guess from what I've been reading that's how they're supposed to work. I had no idea they produced pure water that slow.

100 gpd equals roughly 5 gal per hour. Thats usuallly at room temp.
