Giesmann T5 HO fixture fried?

So our brand spank 36" T5 fixture started to smoke last night and died. We believe it may be a ballast but not sure yet as we have not opened it up.

Anybody have one of these fixtures? It is all alluminum with 4 T5 HO 36" bulbs. No fans, no switch.

What does a ballast for one of these run? Where could I get one locally? Could I use another brand ballast like one from sunlight supply?

Any help greatly appreciated.

It has to be a Reflexx T-5, Matrix is 8 bulb in 36"

check with your supplier, as it should be under warranty. And the distributor is in the East also.

As for the ballast, you can only reuse a ballast that will we for that wattage of bulbs, I have had experience replacing them, but they are very tempermental. You should get the Geismann ballast if all possible.
