![]() I have a sump under my tank that cant come out and my new skimmer base is to big to get it int the sump, so can i get a glass cutter to come out and cut some glass out of my sump so i can get my skimmer in or do i have to just break the sump apart?

![]() Glass is NOT cut, per se, but it is scored and then snapped. I don't think they can do that vertically. Glass sheets are placed on horizontally on a flat surface and then scored & snapped. Perhaps with a dremel you could slowly cut the pane vertically, but not the traditional way.

![]() I used an angle grinder with a diamond blade to cut a chunk of glass out of my sump for the same reason you want too. It worked really well although I did it before there was any water in it.

![]() depending on the skimmer design, adjust the base (cut or grind) if it doesn't ruin the performance.

![]() 900.00 skimmer or 75.00 sump, i guess drain it and break the sump it is.
