Default arg troubles with CO2 tank +reg.

I can't seem to get an air tight seel between the regulator and the co2 tank...There was a rubber ring which it said to use to help seel it (put it between the reg and co2 tank) which i did after some trouble - the nut would barely slide over the threads with the rubber ring around it. So I got it on and tightned it with a wrench and co2 is still getting out (quite a bit). I am assuming they will have the rubber O-rings a HD or Revy right? Does anyone have any suggestions (I got the co2 tank from JL and reg from SWC)?...Oh yah my bubble counter is broked, any idea where to get one? THanks.

how tight is the connection? I have to really crank on mine. I also have a teflon gasket, not an O-ring...

No. You can use some to ease the threading, but you need the gasket, AFAIK.

That black o ring was probably for your bubble counter. It seal's the top plate on the bubble counter. As the other guys have mentioned, mine too had a plastic/teflon washer that goes in between the tank and regulator.
When I got my regulator I had 2 of them ziptied to the regulator unit.
