Wondering how many of you have moonlights on a separate timer? Do you keep them on all night untill the lights come on? My moonlights come on when the 250W goes out, but the 150w's are still on, and the moonlights go out 3am. To give the fishies a time of real darkness.

I don't have a timer on my moonlights. I keep them on for 3 weeks then off for 1. I would like to program an Arduino that will simulate the lunar cycle, and as you suggest maybe provide a few hours a night of complete darkness, but I have got to it yet.

I timer my moon lights on when lights go off and off when lights are on. Walmart has some good woods timers with dual channels for around $25.
