Wow 12 tangs in a 300g, that's a lot, and I always thought my 7 tangs in my 230g was really pushing it. It seems like they all get along though and look healthy, and to me that's the important part.

Whats the dimensions of your 230? Are yours getting along well? What species?

Sorry off topic but I am looking for options for my tank. I think if I were to try to add more tangs (I have 3) to my 200 (72"x30") that I will add a few at once this time. I tried a Powder Brown not too long ago and that didn't go well. I have been told by a few people to try 5 or 6 instead of 4 to help with aggression. Don't really want so many though. We'll see...

Just looking for advice from both if you since you guys seem to be having success

Beautiful family you have there! So whats the secret to keeping the peace.....did you get the majority of them when they were smaller? or add a couple at a time? Please let us know as I have seen quite a few people that have had problems adding one fish at a time into a mature group like this.

Thanks
Brad

My 230g is 6 feet long, 2 feet wide and 3 feet high. None to very little aggression between my tangs. So are you ready for the list...ok here goes:

(all sizes are approx. guesses of how big they are right now)

Salfin tang -9/10"

Sohal tang -7/8"

Naso tang - 7/8"

Regal/Hippo - 7/8"

Valmingi - 5-6"

Yellow tang - 5"

Clown tang - 4"

There are pictures of all of them in my 230g reef pic.'s in my signature. The Salfin, Naso, Yellow, and Regal were added all together to the 230g from my 120g at the same time in Jan 2008. The Clown tang was added around March 2008, the Sohal was added Aug. 2008 and the Valmingi was added Dec. 2008 as a very small 1-2" tang, he's not so small anymore but I knew that he'd grow fast. They are all healthy, fat and well fed.
