Default opinions on lighting

i am currently running the corallife aqualight pro, dual 150w halides, if i where to buy stronger ballasts (250 or 400) would i be able to run them in the original fixture? also im running a aqualight pro pendant on my nano, is there somewhere to get parts for them. i broke the glass shield that covers the bulb.

I bought some replacement sockets for my 250W DE, supposedly were different from 150W sockets.

Also often see a max wattage on a incandescent lamp fixture, figuring part of that is the temperature design spec, might be something to think about the difference in heat from a 150W bulb compared to a 400W one.

If you go from 150 to 250 you will have to change the plugs on the wiring, the 150w coralife ballast use a different connection than the 250w.

The plugs are different, the sockets are different. Not worth it.
