Default Moving to Van...

Hey all,

Just wanted to drop a line and introduce myself... I'm moving to Vancouver this June to start my medical residency and am obsessed with reefs and was trying to find out more about the local reefing club, frag swaps, etc..etc...

What's the concensus on the best LFS, J&L?

I second the warm welcome. We have an informal club here that meets every once in a while. Most of the people that go are on the board.

Hello.

No offence but I doubt you will have any spare time during your residency.

I did my internship in Vancouver 11 years ago and found that there was no time to do anything but work eat and sleep.

What specialty are you going into? Maybe if it is a cushy specialty like radiology or psychiatry you will have plenty of time for reefs. Otherwise, forget it.

Default LoL...

I'm coming from Newfoundland... where I did medical school, but I am originally from Southern California near San Diego. I'm sure I'll have a crazy residency, but you'd be amazed how I can ALWAYS make room for reefs... there's NEVER no time for them in my opinion and they're absolutely mandatory

Welcome to the left coast, where you still have to PAY for medical insurance, but your auto insurance may only be double what you're used to.
