I recently went through something like that. I had an 2 X 55W Allglass PC strip light. One of the ballasts crapped out in less than two years. When Allglass replaced the ballast that had their name on it, it was a Workhorse. All I had to do was figure out how to repair the fixture.

Are workhorse 7's a USA brand? Or are they just somthing used for lighting that is not an aquarium made brand?

We can get them in Calgary from a company called brite lite ... if you email the head office they will put you in touch with the Canadian distributor and then your local outlet

I think there's a place in Coquitlam that has them. I believe there name is Albrite Lighting.
