Shipping live rock: how long can it last in transit

How will a shipment of live rock stand up to 24 hours on a Greyhound bus being shipped up to me?

The alternative is bringing it back as air cargo on the plane with me which would be more expensive and I figure it would freeze.

It came from Fiji or Tonga so it won't have to much difficulty making it to Prince Rupert.
