Is there a way to remove Ricordia from a rock and keep it alive? Or, is chiseling the rock my only shot?

If its a florida ricordea they seem to be pretty hardy and can take some punishment.I have cut them off the rock and had no problems.Yumas on the other hand can just die if you look at them funny.I have tried to cut a few off the rocks and had them melt away. Some have better luck than others but if your worried best to try to chip a little rock off as well and you should be OK.Clint

Chiseling the rock is your best and safest way of getting them off the rock. It also allows you to reattach it somewhere else with glue.
