Default Filter Sock ?

I have never run filter socks before but am considering it. How do these " attatch" to the tank overflow/sump inlet? My tank has 11/2" pipe dropping from the overflow box to about an inch below the water level in the skimmer section of the sump.
I'm just curious to know how the socks are normally fixed in place

Default

Proper filter bags come with an internal ring to assist with hanging. In the event your plumbing is challenging for hanging the bag, simply ad a 90 or 45.
