Default Duster death

Woke this AM to find my Hawian Feather Dusters body and feathers stuck in the powerhead on the other end of the tank. Looks like it ejected from its tube. Rest in Peace. Or in this case Pieces.

Oh geat! Now I find out they commonly do this as a reproduction method. The head part was really mangled by the powerhead, but the base could have grown a new head. Too bad I flushed both ends.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how did the duster get from one end of the tank to the other? Sometimes my duster hitches a ride with the urchin, whether he wants to or not. I would hate to lose another critter to my powerhead.

He ejected from his tube and got carried by the current I guess.
