What system to use for return?

So I am in the proses of setting up my QT tank.
It is a 25Gal 18.5x15.5x20 with sump and fuge. I put two 2-1/2 inch holes in the BTM.
I had put in two as I was going to use one to run my wires through, but I don't think I will use power heads as my returns will be enough.
It is almost a cube and I want all sides to be viewed
The holes are just off center from back to front and about 5" apart.
I was thinking of using two baskets on top of 1 1/2" pipe, and feeding my Fuge with one and my sump with the other. Both will be on gate valves.
Ohh did I mention It is frame less and will have 250w MH suspended so want to keep the top view as open as possible.
My question is does anyone have any better ideas or suggestions?
