Default Tank with IceCap 250/Optix III/AB 10k

Finally hooked up the 250W MH system today. Too bad about the center brace on the tank.

Here's a pic:

For comparison, here is the tank with 206W PC. The GE 9325K bulbs really does bring out the colors in the tank better I think:

I think the top one looks more natural.
you may think about replacing the center brace with acrylic.
That's what I did on my 90g, when it was full
Just cut it out and leave enough of the plastic. Drill a couple holes and bolt in a 2" wide piece of acrylic. Plastic bolts and nuts of course 8)

In the top picture the light is a bit whiter, but I prefer the bottom one. For one thing the the light is spread better, as can be seen on the right side of the tank. I had the 9325K lamps for quite awhile, so I am used to them. Of course that is my opinion only.

Centre brace - I thought that dark line was a tractor beam from a fellow reefer trying to steal some of your nice livestock!!

Yes, the bottom one has a "Orange" overcast to it and looks pastell, the top one looks more natural and if you look at the pics some of your corals are showing other colors besides that Orangeish one.

Do you have a actinic going?

Hi Steve. No actinics or PC supplements in top picture. MH only. Jon, nice tip for the brace.

Sam, your corals over the next few weeks will adjust and change their colors.
