When I joined Canreef I was Fishdaddy3 but years later and no protection I am 31 and fishdaddy5. I have been doing sw tanks for almost 9 years now. I was primarily FW but one day my beautiful wife said, "I'd like a sw tank." I said no. then 3 days later I converted my 33 gallon fw into a reef tank. after that I lost my mind and I also set up a 120 gallon reef. Now I have 1 33 gallon tank with a pair of percs some softies, some LPS and some ZOOs. (and a little GHA...i love the way it sways back and forth in the current). I have another 33 gallon tank with 1 blue damsel and 1 pyjama cardinal and a whole lot of tonga branch rock...it looks awesome...but it just has 2 fish. Then there's the 90 gallon inset in the wall in the dining room with 2 grumpy big a** damsels that somebody was gonna flush...so I saved them because I love all animals...there's a fire clown and 3 yellowtail chromis and a lot of purple LR. Then on Saturday I got a phone call from a friend of mine that reminded me that I had stored a 108 gallon tank at his place and that I had to move it because he needed the space. I forgot about it. It's at my house now and i'm gonna start working on it right away...just as soon as I get the 120 gallon in the living room up and running. reef tanks, a parrot, 50-60 snakes, lizards, a giant schnauzer and a sharpei, five kids, three cats, arachnids, rodents...we love animal life terrestrial or aquatic.

I never have to feel bad about buying something new for the aquariums
I just tell my wife that she is the one that wanted the sw aquarium.

PS most of my tanks have live rock and no corals or many fish because with 5 kids we're always broke... but the water looks so pretty. My family is from Fiji so when someone comes to visit I be trying to get them to bring live rock in their luggage...they don't call anymore.

Hi, my name is Susan and I'm probably one of the oldest on these forums. I have a pond in the yard for the summer and bring the FW fish into a 50 gal for the winter. Bought a little 20 gal SW with some Christmas money and I now have on order a (somewhere around 95-99) custom corner tank that I will be building my own sump and cabinet. Definitely an addiction.
