![]() I'm just setting up my first SW tank, planning on displaying a pair of clowns w/ and anemone, and some corals.
I have Instant Ocean salt, but I don't have the container, so I was wondering how much to add. The system will be a 37 gal w. a 10 gal sump. With sand and LR, it'll probably be around a 40-45 gal system. Thanks!

![]() Add salt until the S.G. is correct (eg, 1.024). You can mix by trial and error.
If S.G. is too low add more salt. If it's too high add some fresh water. Keep adjusting until you have it right. |

![]() If memory serves me right the bucket says 1/2 cup per gallon of water. I can check when I get home.

![]() Directions on the pail say "1/2 cup per US Gallon" I've always mixed it to that and its been fine. Just double check your specific gravity to make sure.
