Default Gulf Stream II - Maxijet 1200 mod kit $25

I ordered a few of these for myself and some locals. I'm selling some of the extras.
http://www.tritonaquatics.com/index_...GulfStream.htm

These GulfStream II will make your maxijet 1200 into a 2500gph powerhead.

PM if you're interested.

Default I bought 2 and they are excellent

I have 2 of these running in my tank. Each one puts out more flow than my Seio 1500. They are very quiet and has minimum vibration. I was skeptical at first but after seeing the results. I'm impressed. Great deal!

Just picked up 2 for myself & a bunch more for other reefer friends & installed mine. What can I say? These are definitely 2500 gallons/hr mods because they totally, totally kick butt. Placed them where my Hydor Korallia 4 was on the end of my 6' 210g & it blows it away. The HK4 only flowed to about 4', these will do the full 6' & then hit the glass and go round the corner. Wow!!!!

For reefers with large sps or fowlrs, you'll never complain about not enough flow with these. Mine is a lps/clam/mixed reef with a sandbed so they're within 3" of the surface and there's flow everywhere. I point mine slightly upwards & get lots of surface agitation (great for the shimmer look). There's so much flow now, I'm shutting off my Mag7 return pump & just go with the Seio9000.

ya talk about alot of flow it was abit much for my 120, sps were getting tipsy and blowing so hard that polyps retracted. I use it to mix salt and think I'll use it in the fowler after. This mod is the best bang for the buck so far!!

Careful placement of the Maxijet is the key. I have a tall tank with some room at the top so both mine are near the surface angled slightly up so they don't point at any coral. My corals get enough flow & my clam on the sandbed just slightly wafts once in a while, which is perfect. Most of my corals are colonies though & not small tipsy frags.

Just got mine going....it beats the Tunze nano streams and Hydor's hands down. I tried it with a 900 first because it was handy. The 900 doesnt have the power to turn the prop. This is knocking my hydor off the magnet holder 6 ft away. I also have the one that J&L is carrying and this one is rated higher but both are a good buy. This one could be way to much for some tanks and thats where the one rated at 1600 (from J&L) could work out better on smaller tanks.
