Default Tramatic Zoa Experience Resulting in Color Advancment?

I'm just wondering if anyone has ever experienced this? I had a regular brown colored Zoo that had grown on a 2 inch rock, I also have a pesky Pistol Shrimp that took that rock into the deep abyss of its lair. Two months later I completely revamped the tank and found the rock. Too my surprise the Zoo's had grown and changed color on me! There in my propagation tank right now before I introduce them to the JBJ's 150W Metal halide. Anyone ever experienced this?

Zoas do it all the time, well atleast IME. I've heard people getting some cool looking morphs just by spliting a colony, leaving one piece alone and moving the second one into a new location in the tank. I had a small colony change colour twice on me... 1st was when I brought it home from the store and then again when I upgraded tanks. It went from blue to pink to purple
