Sam, generally by cutting the worm, you get two worms. Not a good strategy :P

Ah, thanks for the tip with the stocking Deb.

Actually Brad, the scraper would have been used to hold it down while I used a pair of tongs to pick it up.

I think for the trap to work the worm needs to be away from the rock. When they poke out from the rock they like to keep their back end in the rock. Then they seem to stretch for miles. 8)
