![]() The only lacking product IS reactors...
Truth be told, you can get the system started up by putting the media in a large mesh bag in the sump.

![]() A number of the ZEOvit products are best kept in the refrigerator and because they are live bacteria they have a life span of days if not refrigerated and a life span of months if refrigerated.
Once on the system you will develop your unique dosing regiments and will soon have an idea of how long your supplies will last. This is expensive product and I would rather have the freshest product available when I buy rather than something that has been in the LFS for any length of time. My LFS have been able to fill my orders within a week. Tom R |

![]() Aren't the reactors fairly simple in concept, though? Not much more than a large phosban reactor (in design) with something that lets you agitate/stir up the zeolites? Seems like it would be pretty easy to DIY....or just use a phosban reactor and shake it up every day.

![]() Just curious as to anyone who has stopped using the zeovit system and what the results of quitting were? I recall seeing in the reef-fresh thread someone mentioned that they had stopped and had a real nasty mess as a result. Any similar stories with zeovit?

Tom R - have you noticed any growth change using the Zeovit? I think there was improvement in my SPS corals with the Reef-resh.

![]() I have a dumb question. What exactly is a low nutrient environment? I alternate between adding Reef-Roids, Coral Frenzy, PhytoPlex and ZooPlex every 1-2 days at the recommended dose taking care to prevent my nitrates from rising. I also add Kent Coral-Vite and Marine Essential Elements twice a week. Is adding all this considered a high nutrient environment? Should I stop all this if I start Zeovit?

the 4 basic elements of Zeovit (ZeoLith, ZeoBac, ZeoFood7, and ZeoStart2) are all used to redoes Nitrate and phosphate form the system while also providing a food source for your corals. Zeovit continues past the basic 4 to enhance your corals via things like amino Acids and other trace elements. I do not believe it is the intent of the Zeo People to have all users using every product. but there seems to be a logical progression to the products you will try and the ones you will find you want to keep using Right now besides the basic 4 I use: Amino Acid, Coral Vitalizer, and K- Balance. I have used Spur2 but find the results a little shocking. J |

What are you using for your Zeovit reactor? Are you using the GroTech reactor? I understand you can get in sump and external reactors. Are you using a 2.5 litre or 5 litre reactor? Thanks
