Well it seems my sand bed has become covered in tons of little feather dusters.

Why would this be? How do I get rid of them? Any ideas? Josh

There's not a problem with these, Josh. You could be growing worse things - at least you've provided the optimum environment for SOMEthing...

Lots of people have them in varying degrees - I had a few once, but they didn't turn into the white carpet some get. If you REALLY don't like them, look into some natural control - butterfly fish are notoriously hungry.

Josh, I almost cant see the sand behind my rock work anymore cause it's so covered with feather dusters.

theirs no problems with them and I believe it to be a fairly good sign of a healthy tank. Unless you have a copper banded butterfly, your tank will have no dusters but may still be healthy ![]()

well its good to hear that my tank is a great growing habitat for something even if it is millions of little feather dusters. I dont think im going to be looking at a butterfly any time soon so i guess Ill have to live with them.

			Thanks for your info Josh
